John Ross Jr. Calls in London’s Top Chefs for Coronation Festival

Here at internationally acclaimed artisan smokehouse, John Ross Jr,  we’re very excited about the upcoming Coronation Festival. The grand event  is set to take place in the Gardens of Buckingham Palace on 11 – 14 July , providing an exciting stage for a selection of Royal Warrant holders.  To celebrate Her Majesty’s coronation and the very best of British produce, we’ve created our very own special limited edition Original Classic Smoked Salmon, and we’ve invited along one of London’s top chefs, Paul Bates and his team from InterContinental London Park Lane, to help  us showcase our exceptional produce.

Paul has been invited by our Aberdeen smokehouse to create three unique dishes to serve up to the ticketholding public when they attend the festival.These dishes include a gourmet smoked salmon bagel, a smoked salmon salad served in a bamboo cone and a ravishing selection of smoked salmon canapés.

Paul and his executive team will join John Ross Jr as guests for four days to provide smoked salmon carving masterclasses and demonstrate how smoked salmon can be used in a variety of dishes ranging from blinis to bakes.

On being involved in the once-in-a-lifetime event and creating three signature dishes for the smokehouse Paul comments: “This is a tour-de-force for producers within the UK who are currently at the top of their game and it has been an honour to be tasked with creating three standout dishes for the celebration. John Ross Jr has consistently produced a first-class smoked salmon using traditional brick kilns and they deserve to be recognised on this global stage. We’re delighted to be a part of the Coronation Festival and thrilled to be able to help showcase everything that’s good about the UK right now.”

Andrew Leigh, who founded John Ross Jr in 1987, adds: “This event will no doubt provide fellow Royal Warrant Holders with a real sense of acheivement and pride and it’s great that John Ross Jr is recognised as falling into the ‘Best of British’ category. It’s great to have Paul Bates and his team on board and we look forward to celebrating 25 years of John Ross Jr, revealing some of the secrets of our smokehouse and showcasing our products to the tens of thousands of people expected over the weekend.”
